If you’re a statistics lover, this is the blog for you. Have you ever wondered which games and cheats are the most popular on PLITCH? We take a look back at last year and show you the top 10 PLITCHed games as well as the cheats our users activated the most.

Top 10 Games on PLITCH

If we look at the top 10 games worldwide, the last seven places look like this:

#10: F1 Manager 2022

#9: Red Dead Redemption 2

#8: Crusader Kings III

#7: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

#6: Total War – WARHAMMER III

#5: eFootball 2023

#4: Satisfactory

Can you guess the top three? The answer might surprise you! In third place, we have ELDEN RING, the open-world action RPG that took the world by storm in 2022 and even won the Game of the Year award.

Cyberpunk 2077 remained extremely popular in 2022 and thus managed to secure second place in our ranking.

The first place is probably the biggest surprise but it is (still) Anno 1800. To this day, the game has the most users and game starts on PLITCH…BY FAR. The number of Anno 1800 PLITCH users worldwide is almost double that of our Cyberpunk 2077 cheat users.

If we now compare the top 10 PLITCHed games in the US to the ones in Germany, we’ll find out exactly where those Anno 1800 fans are from – Germany, the country where the company behind PLITCH is located.

When we only take a look at the US, ELDEN RING takes the cake and is in first place, followed by Cyberpunk 2077. Anno 1800 isn’t in the top 10 at all. In third place, we find theHunter – Call of the Wild, an extremely realistic hunting simulation.

The rest of the top 10 is pretty similar to the worldwide one, except that Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Bloons TD 6, and No Man’s Sky claim spots instead of F1 Manager 2022, eFootball 2023, and – as already mentioned – Anno 1800.

In Germany, however, Anno 1800 has almost three times as many users as Cyberpunk 2077, which is enough to bring it to the top of the worldwide ranking. ELDEN RING is only in seventh place in Germany, which explains its overall standing.

In addition, Hearts of Iron VI, Far Cry 6, and Medieval Dynasty make it into the top 10 in Germany, displacing F1 Manager 2022, eFootball 2023,and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Let’s have a look at the top three most PLITCHed games and the most popular PLITCH code for each one. It should come as no surprise that the “Add Runes” code for ELDEN RING outshines the other 32 codes. The code has been used over 17 million times! It’s understandable since Runes are the most important resource in the game.

As for Cyberpunk 2077, the clear winner in the race for the most used cheat is our “Add Money” code. Well, we get it, who wouldn’t want that in real life? It was activated almost three times as often as the “+1 Perk Point” code, which definitely comes in handy in certain situations.

The same goes for Anno 1800. Our users were also in need of more money in the game, which leads to our “+1,000,000 Credits” code being the most popular. It’s closely followed by “+10 Influence” as well as “Increase Research Points.”

Now, if we look at the US and Germany and move away from the top three games and just look at the most activated cheats in 2022 in general, it’s interesting that Anno 1800 doesn’t even make the top 10 in Germany despite being the most popular game among our German users.

We couldn’t have guessed it if we tried – the most activated cheat in Germany last year was our “Add Skull Points” code for Farmer Against Potatoes Idle. Who would’ve thought? In second and third place are codes for X4: Foundations, a simulation game set in space.

Interestingly enough, the most popular cheat code in the US is the same as in Germany. Additionally, Farmer Against Potatoes Idle can also be found in second place in the US with the code “Add Potatoes”. Third place goes to the “+100 renown” code for Crusader Kings III.

We hope you enjoyed our little statistics lesson! We’re excited to see which games and cheats will be the most popular on PLITCH in 2023.

Happy Gaming!
