Do sheep really need godmode?

I verified my files and the Sheep most DEFINITELY are unkillable during godmode. At least for the godmode that applies to everything. The building only godmode isn't a problem but still...

Even in campaign mode the sheep are given invincibility. This is counterproductive especially if you are a Mongol player.
