I hope this helps someone, so here goes:

After the latest update, Plitch no longer ran at all on my PC.

I would click on the shortcut and briefly see a Dos command window open and close, then nothing.

I'm on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. But this may apply to Windows 10. I have a dual-boot but try to stay out of Win. 10 as much as possible ;p)

Here are the steps:

1) Uninstall your current version of Plitch

2) Delete any folder named "Plitch" under %AppData (Roaming/Local) on your PC
%localappdata% will take you there to Local then go to Roaming etc.

3) This step is key: Download NetCore 3.1 Runtime from here:
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/3.1/runtime

You will want whichever version (x64/x86) applies to your computer

4) Install Plitch

5) Delete any Start Menu shortcuts created by the install. They don't work.
There should be 2 of them. One is in a folder named "MegaDev GmbH" in the Start Menu
The other is just a shortcut in the Start Menu by itself

6) Go to C:\Program Files\Plitch

7) Right-Click on the Plitch.exe file >> Properties.
Go to the Compatability Tab

Check "Run this program as an administrator" and click OK

8) Run Plitch. It should work now. NetCore 3.1 runtime is needed and no one told you that, did they?

9) Create any shortcuts you want from the Plitch.exe file and replace them in your Start  Menu
