mmm but this is related with the godmode cheat nor the savefile corruption bug in the game. 
In this instance the game alows you to load. But if the godmode cheat is disabled you die instantly...

You have the cheat on when loading into a savegame?

I get this too when playing with Plitch, but just hit prepare and enable godmode before you hit space after the game loads and you'll be fine. :)

This isn't something that should be happening and I hope this gets fixed soon.  Don't like the Idea of starting over or needing plitch to reload save files.
