Items cheat - L.Ctrl+F2 not working?

Not even sure i'm doing it right (really miss the hover/explanations in the previous incarnation).
Click an item on any inventory screen, press the command, and nothing.
Ideas?

Usually you just click on the item, activate the hotkey, close and reopen your inv and the value should've been increased :o
Is it not working for you?
Are you playing the definitive edition or the normal one? Which plattform are you using and did you select the right version in the trainer?
