Square symbol? You mean the hexagon?
The hotkey for the prepare is alt + f1

Can you launch plitch and steam with adminrights.
Which mode are you playing? Small Campaign? Large Campaign? ...

As the tutorial just goes into a buy me loop, I have never been able to see all the procedures to start up.  Intuitively, you use the  specified keys, but as prepare never loads, I don't have anything working.  So, do I need to start steam, and then start Plitch?  I thought if they were synced that is not necessary.

I apparently have waited too long to cancel and receive a refund as you do not respond on a timely basis. So, now I am at the mercy of support to fix this problem of prepare not working.
