alt + f2 doesn't give 500 gold, it gives 500 of top third item

please try to run both PLITCH and the platform you are playing on (Steam, GOG...) as an administrator. On what platform do you play?
Please also note that you should activate the cheat after speaking to a merchant but before you buy anything. Please also try to gain some gold after you activated the cheat so the value can update.
