The codes doesn't work

Codes like adding money or setting the research points don't work. I try restarting, waiting in the game, changing numbers and controls but it still doesn't work. Does anybody also have this problem? Is it solvable?

Hey kraksa6000,
please try to run both PLITCH and Steam as an administrator. Please also try to gain and spend some gold and research points before and after you activate the cheat so the value can update. 
Often this is necessary for the cheat to work properly. I hope the issue can already be solved this way ^^
