Can't activate cheats for GemCraft FW. Are cheats broken?

I followed the cheat activation the best I could, but they don't seem to activate.

I haven't had problems activating cheats in other games using plitch.

Has anyone successfully activated cheats for GemCraft Frostborn Wrath, or are the cheats broken?

This is for steam version 1.2.1a

At the loading screen for GC FW I can confirm that it is version 1.2.1a.
