Can't get Computer Tycoon cheats to work

I have tried selecting older versions, but can't get it to work. When selecting the prepare-cheat it turns green to indicate that it's turned on but I can click away at all the other ones (or use the hotkeys) and nothing happens.

Did you follow the steps in the red hint saying you need a marketing license in a country, establish a building site and build an office?

I can confirm that even with following the red hint the cheats do not work
