Cheats aren't working

I start a new game enter the campaign Poland north start the mission then activate the cheats but nothing happens. I don't have infinite prestige or infinite unit slots.
I am running ver1.04 (whatever the latest one is) on Steam with 64bit Windows10.
Can you explain exactly how best to trigger the cheats in game?
