Correct version, but cheats not working

I have an issue with version 0.8.3.16 on Steam. I'm playing the 64-bit version (Windows 10) on Steam, the same as I select in Plitch.
I can also activate the 'prepare' cheat, but all the other cheats aren't working (both on Mobile and from within Plitch itself). No sound from cheat activation and no change in-game.
Am I doing something wrong or is there an issue with the trainer?
On the 0.8.2.29 version (the last one before this update) of the game, everything was working fine.

The same with activating the cheats ( no matter which one), I tried them without spending money, after spending money, before game save and after new game loads and after save game loads etc.). Nothing helps.
The "prepare" cheat works, but the cheats themselves don't do anything anymore on this newest game version. Clicking/touching the cheats won't activate the cheat or the 'activation sound'.
