Game crashes changing player level to 99

To replicate, start a new club. Start by picking the oldest player and setting player level to 99, (click profile), and use the on-screen arrows to navigate between players then back to the player you set to level 99 and sell. Repeat this two more times and the game 100% crashes on the third player you just changed player level then tried to sell.
Current version of the game is 2023-08-08.r16823 (dlc2 1.1.20).
Latest trainer doesn't match the game version. Option used to work before game updated.

I tested the cheat but it seemed to work fine. I sold about 10 lvl 99 players without any crashes.
Please use the money cheat instead of selling 99 players.
Have you verified your gamefiles for errors in Steam?

FYI, I tested the 99 player level later in the same save and it worked flawlessly. Seems likely it was a rare game bug rather than an issue with the trainer as I've put nearly 1k hours into this game since about 2015.
And normally, yes, I set to level 99 to simulate matches to quickly help get through seasons with players I intent to keep.
For anyone wondering why you want to keep the trainer at no more than 99, and not straight to 100. At 100 players stop developing their stats and the devs put a cap of sorts in place to stop getting to say 300 in control stats. One way I found to power-accelerate players stats is get your youth facilities maxed out (that way they get maximum XP in matches), and set their age between 16 to 20 so they get huge gains to player stats.
