Game shuts down!

The only game I have had trouble with, using Plitch, is Pathway. When cheats are activated the game shuts down in a couple of minutes. I think it only happens during combat scenes. 
Any thoughts on why?

Which cheats did you activate that caused the game to crash?
Did you activate the prepare AFTER you moved your character on the map?
