Was the damage you took higher than you max health?
Did you activate the prepare AFTER loading into your savegame?

Maybe i didn't notice. 
And i can't remember. I'm i supposed to activate the cheat once i'm in the game or during the menu?

Always activate the cheats after loading into your savegame (if there is no hint saying it otherwise)
