God Mode Doesn't Work

I don't think God Mode is working.  While playing your health meter does not deplete but you can tell you're taking damage.  Isaac's breathing starts to get heavier, he limps and struggles to walk.  If you use a health, his breathing gets better and his walking is easier.  I understand that there are probably some situations where Isaac can still die but if he's fighting the regular monsters, he shouldn't die.  If the cheat doesn't make you invincible, maybe it should be renamed to double health or stronger health to set the proper expectation.

Are you playing via steam or origin?
Did you activate the godmode AFTER loading into your savegame?

I'm playing Origin version.  I believe I turn it on before I load the game.  I will try after my save game loads to see what happens.

I activated the cheat after I loaded a save.  It was the part when you go into the Barracks on the Valor where Isaac gets blitzed with multiple monsters.  With God Mode on, I died about multiple times before moving on.  The health meter never drops, it appears full the entire time but Isaac still dies.

Can you send me your savegame?
You should be able to find it here 
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Electronic Arts\Dead Space\
and can upload it (for example) on wetransfer, generate a link and post it in the forum

It can happen at anytime with any monster.  I just highlighted that part because you can easily die there with all the monsters there.  You can also die when you are in the Z ball arena.  If can die anywhere if you just let the monster keep hitting you and not use any healths.  I don't think I have the save for that area any more.  I included my last save.  It should be where I'm on the planet.
