The money/resource cheats will not activate. Prepare and other cheats are working however.

Are you playing via steam or epic?
Did you spend some gold before and after activating the gold cheat? (same for the other resources)

I am playing via steam, and I have tried spending before and after, however the cheats act as if it was never pressed, making no noise, nor does the shape fill in.

I tested the cheat but it seemed to work fine
After picking up some money, I was able to activate the cheat

Have you checked your gamefiles for errors?
