Explorer is a new knowledge skill that needs a slider put in like Technology, Geology, Space Pilot and Fleet Commander.
Also could you take a look at the HP cheat as you can still lose health and die with higher level weapons.

I added the Explorer cheat to our list for new cheats. If we have some extra time we will take a look at the issue.
Is the damage you receive higher than your maximum life?
If you also use the shield cheat, does it prevent you from dying?
