If you're unable to launch the game without using the trainer at all... it sounds like a problem of the game itself.

I am launching the game from the trainer and steam wont allow it as it has to open origin to run

but that is normal for the game, even if you bought it on Steam, it will use Origin/EA-App as well (as shown on the Steam page)... personally I don't like this double DRM for EA and also Ubisoft games, but it's nothing we can change

trainer wont activate--tried rebooting pc, the actual game, and removing and reinstalling plitch and no luck...no sure if this trainer needs an update.??
