I only have silver in my game so far. Please try to activate the cheat in the equipment menu like I do in my video. To get the cheats to work, you need to have at least 1 gold and 1 silver.

Gold seems to be the basic currency, silver is a special currency. Add gold works if you have 1 gold, but the add silver doesn't work. I am about 5 hours in the game and I have 20 silver, the cheat doesn't add any more to it.
