Last night I launched the game through the trainer, and I put the resolution on 1920x1080 on the pre-launch screen.
The game booted up, but the trainer had the "Play" button still lit up, as if it wasn't recognizing that the game launched.
Tonight however, I launched the game with the default resolution and everything seems to work as normal.
So, I'm not sure what else could have changed. Thank you for the response though!
