None of cheats for Empire Total War works for me

5 PostsI have the Total War: Empire Definitive Edition and are trying to use the cheats. Unfortunately it does not work. It looks like I can activate the prepare button as well as the construction buttons but I have not been able to try it out as soon as I have activated the cheats and then deactivated them before changing turn, the game crashes.
Is there something special I need to do? I don't get the money cheat to work either.
How does the 1 turn construction cheats work if you have to disable the cheats before changing turns?

Again, how does the construction cheats work if you have to disable them before each turn? Is it because you only have to activate it and then deactivate and it works for that turn?

playing in fullscreen mode or windowed shouldn't matter.
The construction cheat needs to be activated before assigning a building (that needs to be build), and can be deactivated afterwards.

Please explain how to get these cheats to work, I can't get them to work today. I have tried fullscreen, windowed. Opening the game through this app as well as through steam. I have used the prepare button and not used it everytime I do that, the game crashes when moving to next turn no matter if I have disabled everything or not.

did you launch Plitch and Steam with adminrights?
Have you verified your gamefiles for erros in Steam?
