Do you select the right version for the platform you bought the game on?
Is your anti virus blocking the trainer?
If yes add an exception for the complete PLITCH folder.

I have a similar issue.  Bought on Steam.  Selected Steam. 
"Activate First: Prepare" works.
"Weapons: Unlimited Ammo" works.
"Health/Energy: Refill Shield & Refill Health" does NOT work.  lights up in the Plitch app, but no action in game.

I have a similar issue.  Bought on Steam.  Selected Steam.

Did you activate the prepare AFTER loading into your savegame?
Did you get hit after activating the health/shield cheat and it didn't change your current health/shield?

I activate the prepare after the insertion.  The unlimited ammo WORKS.
But when I press the key for "Refill Shield" or "Refill Health", it make the noise, flashed the light on the button, but nothing happens in-game.

I tested the cheats and they seemed to work fine.
After getting hit, your health/shield refills minus the damage you got

Are you playing offline/solo?
Are you using any mods?
