it doesn't matter if you run the game via the Plitch client or GOG itself. The play button has nothing to do with the cheats.
Please always run the trainer and the platform you are using with admin rights, since the trainer requires it to fully function.
Were you able to activate the cheat called "Prepare" or is that one greyed out as well?
