Not very normal ammo consumption

So I got the pistol where the guard attempts to reach the first aid but bleeds out and when I fire it it takes an entire clip + depleted ammo which isn't a feature of the game, I'm using infinite ammo cheat and played the latest steam version that this supports.

Update, the glitch stopped, it stopped when I went into another chapter.
