Do other games work for you? If not - please make sure to run plitch with admin rights as well as the platform you are using (Steam)
Is your numpad turned on? Have you tried activating the prepare manually in the trainer by using your mouse?

I have checked evrything for the 3d time it for multiple games where I can not push te prepare button with the hot keys or with the mouse. I run all apps in admin mode and even reinstalled plitch. still not working.
