Are you playing the free demo?
Is your numpad turned on?
Did you try activating the prepare AFTER loading into your savegame?

i am playing the full game, i have tried turning the numlock off then back on, i have tried restarting the pc, and have tried pushing play after i have loaded the game and pushed play from the plitch program

Hey! Could you please verify your game files for errors via Steam? Did you make sure that the entire PLITCH installation folder is whitelisted in your antivirus/firewall?

on the firewall plitch is checked, and as for the game files the game plays fine but i shall try to verify the game and try again

i have even tried mapping the prepare cheat to a diffrent button as well as pushing the play button next to the cheat and the program wont start
