Have you verified your gamefiles for errors in Steam?
Is it only happening to savegames where you have used the trainer?

I have the same problem, savegames where i have used trainer wont load. All progress is basically lost.
I tried verifying game files and it didnt help, also tested the other savegames where i had not used trainer before, they worked.

I also add that they wont load even if i lauch it from steam itself

also i had both ways activated "prepare" first and not, not loading.
