Were you able to activate the research cheat but it didn't seem to have a function?
Are you using mods?
Do you have Win7 oder Win10?

I can´t even use this to start the game or make ANYTHING in this cheat work. Outdated shit.

In order to use the play button you need to go to the installation folder of your game and select this exe "SimCity.exe"
You can also start the game manually via origin instead of using the play button. The button has nothing to do with the cheats.

Did you follow the steps in the red hint and cheat descriptions?
Were you able to activate the prepare or is it greyed out?
