Did you open up a character screen where you can see you stats?
Were you able to activate the +10 cheats but they didn't seem to have a function?
Do you own a legit copy of the game via steam?

yes i did open the charavter screen and did the cheats both in the ingame menus and outside of them
i was able to activate them and they showed up as activated but gave no affect
and yes i have a legit copy of the game
