Skill points/experience cheats don't work

The unlimited ammo cheat does work, so wondering if I need to get to a certain point in the game for the skill points/experience cheats to work? I'm past the initial section and now exploring the main game by boat so it should be active by now. I'm playing the steam version. Thank you

Hey Rowdyreiko,
please try to activate the Prepare cheats and gain some experience and at least one experience point. Then open your skill menu and activate the cheats for the skillpoints and the XP. Afterwards gain some XP again so the value can update. Please try it out this way and let me please know if it works.

Hey Rowdyreiko,
please try to activate the Prepare cheats and gain some experience and at least one experience point. Then open your skill menu and activate the cheats for the skillpoints and the XP. Afterwards gain some XP again so the value can update. Please try it out this way and let me please know if it works.

I've played another three hours, earned experience and skill points. The only cheats that are green that can be activated is infinite arrows. Items are not infinite. Everything else is greyed and can't be activated.

I also can't toggle on the experience gain cheats. It's grey and makes no confirmation sound when pushed. I've tried assigning new hot keys and used the app and it won't work through there either.

Did you enable the "Preapre" code?

I'm unable to use Prepare once the game is running. Which is strange because I can toggle the infinite ammo on and off with the correct audio cues so something is working, but pressing the prepare code either directly, using hot keys, or the app does not activate prepare. It won't light up.

Hi Rowdyreiko,
did you start both PLITCH and Steam as an administrator? 
Please also make sure that your firewall isn't blocking PLITCH. The best way to ensure this is to set an exception for PLITCH in your firewall.
