Are you playing via steam, origin or msstore?
Were you able to activate the prepare or is it greyed out?

mine crashed when i click the prepare number pad 0. i have mine on steam and i click the play button from this app

Did you activate the prepares after loading into your savegame?
Have you checked your gamefiles for errors?
