The 2021 video-game Tormented Souls pays homage to survival-horror classics from the 90s like [game:547]. Most notable is the fixed camera perspective, which the earlier games in the Resident Evil series, in particular, were known for, but which has long since been abandoned. This game mechanic may be outdated, but it makes for a wonderfully spooky atmosphere, and here gets combined with modern graphics and classic puzzle and action-based gameplay. Take on the role of Caroline Walker who, while exploring an old abandoned mansion in search of her missing twin sister, passes through the gates to another dimension.
