Can someone explain how to use the item/food storage and base storage
The instructions for the item storage is confusing. It says while in storage select the item, right click, change the quantity, then subtract one, and you'll see the number change. So do you hit the cheat when the item is selected, or after you right click and have the slide up ? Also what are the item/food things, and what is the base storage - what's the difference between those two ? TIA !!!!

Go to your storage area. Right click on the resource or item you wish to stack. It will at that point be in the mode for you to remove. At that point you open the overhead display for Plitch. Go to the item or resource stack slider and choose the amount. Activate it. Then remove the overlay. Then back at your regular screen, remove 1 of the item you have opened. Once it goes back to storage, that item or resource should have the chosen amount showing. I hope this helps. It was a bit confusing for me too at first. but once you do it a few times, youll be fine.
