hi, when the game is running and you've started a new or loaded an existing save game, you can activate the "prepare" by either clicking on the arrow in PLITCH or simply by pressing the shown hotkey (e.g. hold down "Alt" and press "F8")
you should not try to activate it in the main menu!
and if you start or load a scenario which is part of the vanilla version or first addon, you've to select this game in PLITCH, because the game then loads other files and not the ones of Gathering Storm
