Hi! Do you mean Dying Light or Dying Light 2? Since you've posted in the Dying Light forum but mention Dying Light 2. But in general, trainer versions can be cross-compatible sometimes, yes - best try it out for yourself!

have you tried the Steam version in Epic?
Just launch the game manually via Epic and select the latest Steam version in the trainer :x

If the Steam version is not working then we can not do anything.
The game is not available for purchase for us in Germany here.
