It took one of the admins pointing this out to me.
Steps to use the stats cheat.
Step 0: Select Companion (If doing Main Character skip to Step 1)
Step 1: Save
Step 2: Start entering Stat Codes. I start before the "save successful" fades. I wrote my stats down so I knew getting 20's across the board was 12 presses for Str, 6 for dex, etc.
Step 3: Save
Step 4: Load
Step 5: Open Character sheet to inspect stats. Close sheet and repeat Steps until happy.
Yeah, that was for the old set up. It was just +1 to whatever stat you were hitting. But they updated it to just so you could set the base value of the stats to whatever you wished. All you had to do was change the value from 1 to any other number. This is how it worked for the GOG version. They just forgot to add in the values and being able to change the values. But it's fine since it now shows the values.

The values in PLITCH do not represent the final values in game.
They get increased or decreased based on gear, race, class and so on.

Ctart with Quick save (F5) than add the numbers to the stat in the Plich, press the stat button than press the char in the launcher and than save the game again (F5) and than relload (F8) stat should be added. from my experiance the right number to put in 10 to 14 this will add a value to 22/23 in game from 15/16.

Hey just as a little info,
You set the values, then you choose on whom the effect should be (even multiple characters) and then you save twice.
After you load the save now you can see the changes.
All values of the characters are calculated in the background of the game.
There are bonuses and mali on it from class, race, etc..
We only change the base or bonus points on the base. Therefore the value at 20 in PLITCH is not equal to 20 in the game.
Since all stats have a limit at 30 anyway, we also set the maximum to 30.

The value you select is added to the base of 8.  So basically subtract 8 from whatever you actually want.  However it also does not take into account your selected racial bonuses.  So if you only want say 19 and you already have a +2 in that stat you would put in 9.

How to use the new stat modifier for people who haven't worked it out yet

Step1: Save your game
Step2: Click Prepare stats and Click Select player.
Step3: Optional - edit the value to the number you want to add or just leave them all at 20
Step4: Click on all the status you don't have to do them 1 at a time like you used to.
Step5: Save your game then reload (if you left them all at 20 your stats will be higher than 20 as it adds the value it doesn't set the value)
