Permanent stat changes?

Not sure if this is the result of something like the game version changing since the trainer's release, or if i'm just not activating the mods in the correct menu area, or whatever the issue may be lol.  But every time I use the premium modifications to adjust the character's stats, the edits are undone as soon as I leave that menu or even that instance of character selection... Which basically makes them useless.

Is there a certain selection menu I need to be in to make the modifications stick? Or has something in the game possibly stopped the way the mods work?  I know the game is kinda indie and old at this point. It could very well be the result of a patch or version update or ect.

Any feedback/assistance would be appreciated.

Hello, i'm actually having the same issues. Stats change but they wont stay.  There's no way to save without exiting the menu. Is there a fix for this? Thanks

Did you level up after using the cheats?

yes i did, should i max the lvl mod out so the stats stay?

No, sorry. What i meant was if you leveled up by playing afterwards and not by the cheats :D

Oh i see. Yes i leveled up ingame and stats resetted but also the stats reset in the world menu. The game doesn't allow you to save out of the character menu, so any time you're adding stat cheats is meaningless. During battle you can add the cheat but as soon as it's the A.i turn the stats reset.
