Problem with Fast Research code

Hi PLITCH Team,

I’m reporting this again because the same issue came back after the last time it was fixed.

Platform: Steam

Cheat involved: Fast research / Quick research

Game mode: All

The issue: the game crashes when the Fast research cheat is active during an in-game research.

Important details:

• Steam is launched as administrator.
• PLITCH is launched as administrator.
• The other cheats seem to work correctly.
• The issue is not caused by leaving the cheat enabled all the time.
• The crash happens specifically when Fast research is active while a research is running in Planet Zoo.
• The cheat was working correctly after the last PLITCH update/fix.
• The issue started again on a new save file.
• After that, it happened every time I tried to use Fast research during an active research.

I tested several methods, including activating the cheat only during an already started research, and the game still crashed.

Then I deleted this PLITCH file:

%localappdata%\megadev\plitch\data\pdb.bin

After deleting this file and restarting everything, the cheat worked again.

So it looks like the issue may be linked to a corrupted or outdated local PLITCH cache file, not directly to the game save or admin rights.

I wanted to report the full process in case it helps you identify why this keeps happening with the Planet Zoo Fast research cheat.
