you can increase the amount of gems with the PLITCH cheats.
To do so, make sure to activate the "Prepare" first. Then open the gems menu and position your mouse over the certain kind of gem you want to cheat. You need to have at least one!
Now activate the "+ selected resource" cheat. If the value isn't increased directly it can help to gain gems through the game after you activate the cheat.
