Please note that the effect of the cheat will only be visible in the next room.
Additionally, please try to launch PLITCH and Steam as administrator. To do this, right-click the desktop icons and select "run as administrator". Then launch the game via the PLAY button in PLITCH and activate the Prepare after fully loading your save file.

I'll try what you said. However those cheats aren't activating for me. they don't change color when I click them or use the corresponding number to activate.
Edit: I ran as administrator. Same issue.
