Trainer not enabling cheats on launch
-Game is running on steam
-Plitch is running as administrator
-Cheats aren't enabling (The prepare button doesn't highlight)
Whether I launch the game from the Plitch client or steam Client, cheats don't activate.

this sounds correct so far, because it is very important to start PLITCH and Steam with explicit admin rights and then start the game with the PLAY button in PLITCH.
Please try to verify your game files in Steam for errors (right-click on the game in your steam library < properties < installed files < verify integrity of game files). Then try to use the cheats again.
Also try to activate the cheats with both the keyboard shortcut and the mouse, as older games often block the keyboard shortcuts

I tried your steps Fezi, it doesn't work. You should know that Generals (along with other C&C titles) got a recent update from EA to have workshop support. These changes however broke existing mod compatibility (such as Genpatcher), so I am not surprised that the trainers no longer work. I tried the standalone trainer from ***, it no longer works as well.
The current version on Steam is 1.0.5 too

Did you try the other trainer at the same time like PLITCH? Please beware, that other mods can change the structure of your code and PLITCH can no longer access it.

i dont have any other mods installed (infact I cant because the gentool mod doesnt work either)
