thank you for reporting the issue. Are the rest of the cheats working fine besides the Research one?

Additionally, please try to launch both PLITCH and Steamas administrator. To do this, right-click on their desktop icons and select "run as administrator". Then launch the game via the "PLAY" button in PLITCH and activate the Prepare and all other cheats after fully loading in your savegame.
