Is there something to make crafting easier or remove the fog of war yet keep characters kinda hidden until they come into field of view?

Also, if by some perhaps chance loot droppings or drop rate of materials/weapons/armor or just all one big chance? Am curious if those are possible same for the vision/crafting.
