Cheats not working

So, I downloaded Andromeda from steam but it laods through Origin at the begining. The majority of cheats work with the current build identified as (Origin) 1.10. There is no steam option. The cheats allow activation, but the research and crafting ones do not seem to do anyting. Is there a trick or process I need to follow?

Were you able to activate the research/crafting cheats and they didn't seem to have a function?
Have you tried changing the hotkeys or activating the cheat manually in the trainer by using your mouse?

This is the same issue as with Dragon Age Inquisition. Plitch activates origin even if you set the game path for the steam game. Needs update to properly target steam.

That's not a problem of the trainer. The game runs via origin. If you start the game manually via steam it opens up origin.
