Codes dont work

I tried everything. With and without modes.. WIth expansion and even vanilla mode. Activated codes before and after the start of the games.. it makes the specific sound like it activated but it doesnt work.

Which cheat are you talking about?
Were you able to activate the prepare or is it greyed out?
