I was able to activate the prepare cheat, then the money cheat lit up but when I went to click it, nothing happened in-game

Did you gain/spend some money before and after activating the cheat (while prepare is active)?

I tested the cheat but it seemed to work fine

You need to spend some money in the decoration shop before and after activating the cheat (while prepare is active)
