Money cheat not working

I'm trying to add money but the button isn't working. I've tried using my keybind and that doesn't work either. Is there something wrong with it or is it just my end that's messed up?

Are you playing via steam, gog or msstore and did you make sure to select the right version (steam/gog/msstore) in the trainer?
Did you spend/gain some money BEFORE and AFTER activating the cheat?
Did you activate the prepare AFTER loading into your savegame?
