So I'm trying to add money, and I bought two items, while activating the cheat, I even tried it with selling fur, but it won't do anything

were you able to activate the prepare?
Did you activate the cheats AFTER loading into your savegame?

I was able to with the prepare and I saved in a town and tried to sell hides to activate the cheat.
