have you tried changing the hotkey or activating the cheat manually in the trainer by using your mouse?

When using the Heal Player feature it screws up the health of that player to where the next hit they take kills them.

Did you follow the step in the red hint? You have to save and reload before activating the cheat for the first time. And you're not supposed to activate the health cheat in a fight.
